Chevrolet Cruze Repair Manual: Installation Procedure

  1. Clean and prepare the attaching surfaces for welding.
  2. Apply structural adhesive to the attaching flanges.

  1. Position the body side outer lower panel on the vehicle
  2. Verify the fit of the body side outer lower panel.
  3. Clamp the body side outer lower panel into position.

  1. Spot weld accordingly.
  2. Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area, as necessary. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair.
  3. Paint the repaired area. Refer to Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems.
  4. Install all related panels and components.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
