Removal Procedure
Disconnect electrical connectors.
Remove 4 instrument panel tie bar bolts (3, 4).
Remove 2 instrument panel tie bar nuts (2).
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Install 4 instrument panel tie bar bolts (3, 4) and tighten to 22 N·m (17 lb ft).
Install 2 instrument panel tie bar nuts (2) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
Connect electrical connectors.
Installation Procedure
Cut the front compartment upper side rail in corresponding locations to
fit the remaining original panel. The sectioning joint should
be trimmed to allow a gap of one-and-one-half-times the metal thickness at
the sectioning joint.
