  1. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  2. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  1. Hose Clamp

Procedure

  1. Compress the power steering fluid reservoir outlet and inlet hose clamp from the power steering fluid reservoir.
  2. Remove outlet and inlet hose from power steering fluid reservoir.
  1. Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Screw

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten 9 N·m (80 lb in)

  1. Power Steering Fluid Reservoir

Procedure

Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

Tip

Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.

Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement

Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.

Power Steering Pump Pulley

Procedure

  1. Use CH 25034-D Pulley Remover to remove the  power steering pump pulley.
  2. Use CH 25033-C Pulley Installer to install the power steering pump pulley.

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools.

Power Steering Pump Replacement

  1. Remove the power steering pump belt. Refer to Power Steering   Pump Belt Replacement
  2. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  1. Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Hollow Screw

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten 21 N·m (16 lb in)

  1. Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose
  2. Power Steering Reservoir Outlet Hose
  3. Power Steering Pump Bolt (Qty: 2)

Tighten 22 N·m (17 lb ft)

  1. Power Steering Pump

Procedure

Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

Tip

Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.

Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement

  1. Power Steering Pump Bracket Screw

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten 22 N·m (16 lb ft)
