Chevrolet Cruze Owners Manual: Entry Lighting
The headlamps, parking lamps, taillamps, back-up lamps, and most of the interior
lamps turn on briefly when 
is pressed
on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter.
After about 30 seconds the exterior lamps turn off, and then the dome and remaining
interior lights will dim to off. Entry lighting can be disabled manually by changing
the ignition out of the OFF position, or by pressing the RKE transmitter
button.
This feature can be changed.
Exit Lighting
The headlamps, taillamps, parking lamps, back-up lamps, and license plate lamps
come on at night, or in areas with limited lighting, when the key is removed from
the ignition.

Drill 8 mm (5/16 in) for plug welding along the edges of the service
panel as noted from the original panel.
Clean and prepare the attaching surfaces for welding.

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Operation
The transmitter functions may work up to 60m(195 ft) away from the vehicle. On
vehicles with remote start the distance will be greater.
Keep in mind that other conditions, such as those previously stated, can impact
the performance of the transmitter.
