Chevrolet Cruze Repair Manual: Installation Procedure

  1. Align the body side outer panel reinforcement.
  2. Clean and prepare the attaching surfaces for welding.

  1. Position the body side outer panel   reinforcement on the vehicle.
  2. Verify the fit of the body side outer panel reinforcement.
  3. Clamp the body side outer panel reinforcement into position.

  1. Spot weld accordingly.
  2. Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area, as necessary. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair.
  3. Paint the repaired area. Refer to Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems.
  4. Install all related panels and components.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
